YPARD mentoring programs in review
After a year of experimentation with different models of mentoring: face to face, virtually, blended (through conferences) and group mentoring including seed-funding, we bring you the outcomes strengths and limitations of each of these mentoring approaches in a report titled "Equipping young people to make a change in agriculture" as well as stories of impact from both the mentees and the mentors from the mentoring programs.
Discover the outcomes from the YPARD Face to Face mentoring program (a partnership between YPARD and AWARD) aimed at bringing about transformational change among young people (young entrepreneurs, researchers and development practitioners) who in return would become successful role models for young people around the world.

The 2017 Young Africa Works Summit
In the next one week, The MasterCard Foundation will be hosting its second Young Africa Works Summit in Kigali Rwanda from February 16-17. This meeting will bring together 300 high-level influencers to discuss not only how youth can actively participate in agriculture in Africa, but also how youth can drive agricultural transformation in Africa. YPARD will be conducting a one day pre-summit workshop and a mentoring program to build on the youth delegates communication and networking skills in preparation for their participation at the Summit.
Meet Brian Bosire the founder of UjuziKilimo, an agricultural technology company that brings affordable precision farming to smallholder farmers in Kenya. Brian is a youth delegate delivering a keynote speech at the Young Africa Works Summit in Kigali, Rwanda on February 16-17.
